A unique hand crafted overbust corset, more akin to a piece of art than a garment.

 
This corset started life as a commission, a green silk corset to be ombre dyed black. However my first attempt at dying it didn't work. I chose to start again for the commission, and was left with the shell of a black silk corset with no purpose.
In order to bring this corset to life I have hand applied aubergine guipure lace and added bone casings and binding in a beautiful magenta silk from Stephen Walters (a silk mill in Suffolk UK, that has been weaving fabric since 1720). I then chose to embellish with gold leaf and hand beading to add sparkle and dimension.
The structural fabric is strong cotton coutil with a strong grosgrain waist tape, steal boned throughout, 100% cotton lining, gold two part eyelets and a gold busk.

 
The corset creates smooth hourglass silhouette and finishes mid busk and sits right on the hip bones, allowing for a good range of motion through the hips.
The laced closed measurements are:
Bust: 33.5 inches
Waist: 23.5 inches
Hips: 35 inches
The centre front measures 12 inches. 

 
This corset has never been worn. Due to the initial dying error there are some areas where the dye didn't take fully (please see pictures). I have priced to reflect this, however feel this adds a layer of depth to the corset.
